Approved families are welcome to a cloth diaper kit that contains everything they need to get started with cloth diapering, including an illustrated booklet!
For those who are having trouble, need the 101 on modern cloth, or have questions related to cloth diapers.
We will be soon bringing cloth diapering classes locally to those who would like to see cloth diapers in person and learn all about your options today!
Yes, we are a 501(c)3 nonprofit registered in PA!
It varies depending on donations sometimes, but kits will always contain a minimum of 12 diapers. A typical kit contains:
3 Diaper Covers, 12 Flat Diapers, 1 Snappi, and 1 Illustrated Booklet
There is an application here for anyone interested in applying for a kit. Approved applicants then go on a waiting list for a kit. Kits are distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis, and if for some reason the demand far outweighs the supply, applicants on the wait list longer than 6 months will need to reconfirm their eligibility before receiving a kit.
Kits are offered to residents of York County, PA who have a diapered child under the age of 3. Anyone with an older special needs child is more than welcome to apply for a kit as well, may be placed on an extended wait due to availability of diapers. We do sometimes service people outside of the county, too. Those currently receiving WIC are often approved, but the application is for anyone who finds themselves in extenuating circumstances that place them in need! Expecting mothers can apply within 30 days of their due date.
We can up the diaper count up to 2 dozen to accommodate moms with more than 1 child under the age of 3, but we do not currently offer multiple kits to the same applicant or household. We do, however, have resources for parents to find affordable, even free, alternatives.
Zilch. We can write off the gas we use, the resources we contribute, shipping costs, etc, but we do not receive paychecks at all.
